Hands-On Support

The arrival of cancer in a family is like a tsunami. That’s why, in addition to emotional and psychological support, we offer hands-on assistance to cover the needs that arise throughout the process.

Extraordinary Assistance Fund

Real support where it's needed most

Childhood cancer impacts families in many ways. With this fund, we cover extraordinary expenses: wigs, wheelchairs, hearing aids, physical therapy, transportation, financial assistance, or funeral expenses.

Our team and social workers review each case individually to offer the best help and ensure it reaches those who need it most.

Aladina with Ukraine

A path of solidarity and hope

With the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, Aladina, in coordination with the Spanish Society of Pediatric Oncology (SEHOP), launched an evacuation operation for families with children and teenagers with cancer. In total, 186 people, of whom 68 were minors, left Ukraine from March 2022 to August 2023. Since then, Aladina has taken care of 35 families in Madrid with children and teenagers with cancer, helping them integrate into the public health system, funding their accommodation in homes where families could stay together near their hospitals, covering all their financial needs, and providing the psychosocial support necessary to make the process as smooth as possible.

Today, in 2026, we continue to care for Ukrainian families in Madrid whose children need treatment; they have 100% of our support, both financial and through Aladina’s psychosocial support network.
