Help in hospitals

Armenia has been living for years in a very unstable political situation under the constant threat of armed conflict. In 2022, the country suffered a war that pushed its healthcare system to the limit. That’s why Aladina partnered with the Armenian organization City of Smile, which supports all children with cancer in the country, through a donation of $160,000. This contribution covered two months of treatment costs for 90 to 100 children and teenagers without resources suffering from cancer or hematological diseases—the equivalent of the annual number of new pediatric cancer diagnoses in the country. A truly extraordinary contribution.

Associação para Crianças e Adolescentes com Câncer (TUCCA):
Thanks to the proceeds from the charitable cinema promoted by Aladina’s president, Paco Arango, the Foundation was able to collaborate with TUCCA, a Brazilian organization dedicated to research, treatment, and comprehensive support of children and teenagers with cancer throughout their entire illness process.

Núcleo de Apoio à Criança com Câncer:
The funds raised through the charitable cinema promoted by Paco Arango made it possible for Aladina to support Núcleo de Apoio à Criança com Câncer, a foundation that strengthens Pediatric Oncology services in Recife and continuously accompanies children with cancer and their families throughout treatment.

Instituto Desiderata:
Thanks to Aladina’s collaboration, made possible through the proceeds of the charitable cinema promoted by its president Paco Arango, Instituto Desiderata was able to continue its work strengthening public education and health policies in Rio de Janeiro, promoting quality education and early diagnosis and excellent treatment of childhood and adolescent cancer.

Hospital da Criança Santo Antônio:
The funds raised through the charitable cinema led by Paco Arango allowed Aladina to collaborate with Hospital da Criança Santo Antônio, a reference center that offers comprehensive and exclusive care to patients from 0 to 18 years old, with specialists and highly complex technology for the treatment of congenital diseases that require a high degree of intervention.

Hospital Pequeño Príncipe:
Through the proceeds of the charitable cinema promoted by Paco Arango, Aladina was able to add its support to Hospital Pequeno Príncipe, a reference pediatric center that integrates diagnosis and treatment to offer children and teenagers comprehensive care aimed at their full recovery.

Hospital de Câncer de Campo Grande Alfredo Abrão:
Solidarity turned into cinema, by Paco Arango, allowed Aladina to collaborate with Hospital de Câncer de Campo Grande Alfredo Abrão, a non-profit entity that accompanies cancer patients through all stages of the disease: from diagnosis and treatment to comprehensive rehabilitation.

Grupo de Apoio à Criança com Câncer – Bahia (GACC-BA):
Thanks to the support channeled by Aladina through the charitable cinema promoted by Paco Arango, GACC-BA was able to strengthen its work accompanying children and teenagers with cancer, offering psychosocial, medical, and financial assistance to the families who need it most.

Fundación Sanar:
The charitable cinema of our president Paco Arango led us to meet Fundación Sanar and to collaborate with this entity that has 31 years of experience supporting children with cancer in diagnosis and comprehensive care of the disease.

Fundación Pies Descalzos:
We collaborate with Fundación Pies Descalzos, created by singer Shakira in 1997 to promote quality public education for children in vulnerable situations in Colombia, which also pays special attention to nutrition and the promotion of personal growth.

Fundación Ellen Riegner de Casas:
Our support for Fundación Ellen Riegner de Casas is aimed at supporting women, men, children, and teenagers with cancer who have limited resources, from throughout Colombian territory.

Hogar Padre Vito Guarato
Through funds from the charitable cinema promoted by Paco Arango, Aladina was able to support Hogar Padre Vito Guarato, an exemplary institution that offers care, protection, and a lifelong home to children with disabilities who have been abandoned by their families.

Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir
Aladina’s commitment to children with cancer crossed borders thanks to the charitable cinema promoted by Paco Arango, making possible the support of Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir, which accompanies children and their families throughout the entire process and treatment of the disease.

Through donations made possible by the proceeds from films directed by our president Paco Arango, we collaborate with Fundación Alsea and their dining halls, which provide one meal a day, accompanied by lots of love and education, to hundreds of vulnerable children and teenagers up to 16 years old.

“Va x mi Cuenta” Dining Halls (ALSEA Foundation):
Through donations made possible by the proceeds from films directed by our president Paco Arango, we collaborate with Fundación Alsea and their dining halls, which provide one meal a day, accompanied by lots of love and education, to hundreds of vulnerable children and teenagers up to 16 years old.

Casa de la Amistad for children with cancer:
Again, thanks to the charitable cinema of our president Paco Arango, we collaborate with the organization Casa de la Amistad, which makes it possible each year for many children with oncological diseases to receive treatment in a very special environment, full of magic and love.

We promote solidarity partnerships in Mexico that guarantee food, medical care, and emotional wellbeing for children and young people in vulnerable situations.

The goal? To improve the nutritional status of sick children through family training and monitoring patient progress.

Through this collaboration, safe and adapted educational spaces will be created to prevent sun exposure for these children, along with the provision of school supplies, and awareness programs will be carried out for families to promote the integration of these children in their community.

We funded 100% of the construction in Kampala (Uganda) of the “Aladina Home,” a residence providing care and support for children and teenagers in palliative care. A unique project in Africa that offers these families both emotional and medical relief when the illness can no longer be cured.

At the “Aladina Home,” managed by the Ugandan organization Bless a Child, the sick child and their caregiver have a comfortable room, personalized care, psychological support, the pain relief they need, ambulance service, and 24-hour medical care. Truly a life-changing difference for these children and their families.

Through Fundación Sanar, we were able to acquire and send to the Mar Caribe hospital and the National Cancer Institute of Bogotá all the medicines that the doctors at these hospitals requested from us to be able to treat the children and give them a chance for treatment.
