Emotional Support

Emotional support and therapeutic play are essential to the wellbeing of the children and families we serve. At Aladina, we create activities that let kids be kids—laughing, playing, and enjoying life—because joy is a vital part of healing.

Therapeutic Recreation

Fun thatalso heals

At Aladina, we believe in the power of therapeutic play. Our hospital team, supported by Aladina volunteers, fills hospitals with activities that brighten the day for children with cancer: games, music, crafts, and creative workshops. All these activities are also available online, with the aim of reaching more children and families across Spain.

Dog Therapy

AdventureCompanions

Aladina is a pioneer in providing this type of therapy to children with cancer. When our furry friends arrive at the hospital, the atmosphere changes instantly. They accompany children in games, activities, and calm moments, helping them communicate better, reduce anxiety, and disconnect from the illness. We also offer these sessions to children in palliative care, both at home and in hospital, adapting to each situation.

Physical Exercise

Sports asan Ally

Aladina offers personalized sports sessions during hospital treatments that help children and teenagers with cancer improve their mood, reduce side effects, and regain strength. Our Sports Scholarships also give patients and caregivers the opportunity to train and unwind at specialized centers beyond the hospital.

Camps

Holidaysthat heal

Thanks to Aladina, since 2006, each summer more than 200 Spanish children enjoy an unforgettable week at the Barretstown (Ireland) and Dynamo Camp (Italy) camps, part of the Serious Fun Children’s Network—the camp network created by Paul Newman for children with serious illnesses. There they can be themselves again, have fun outdoors, and connect with other children in similar situations. As their motto says: We take fun seriously!
